Networking with other Vendors Can Increase Exhibition Success

Posted on June 9th, 2009

When you decide which trade shows to exhibit at in Sydney, you should start building relationships with other key trade show vendors. Many exhibitors forget the value of networking with other exhibitors, but you can set up referral systems that can increase your effective marketing within the exhibition centre. When you are planning your exhibition stand and associated marketing strategy, do not forget to plan your networking strategy with the other vendors in Sydney.

Building relationships with other exhibitors that have complementary products to your own can increase lead generation at the trade show. Set up a complementary system where those who visit one exhibition stand will receive a discount or bonus if visiting the other one too. Even without offering a discount, encouraging the staff to mention the other exhibition stand to potential customers can help generate leads.

Six Ways to Attract Attention at the Trade Show

Posted on May 5th, 2009

You do not need to resort to screaming “Look at Me” to the people wandering past your exhibition stand at the trade show, if you design the exhibition stand to automatically attract the attention of your prospective customers. Exhibition stand design is the real key to making the stand at the trade show a genuine success and it pays dividends to pay attention to the design of your exhibition stand.

1. Use Colours on Your Stand
Consider hiring exhibition furniture in the colours that accentuate your company logo or branding. If you have a yellow package with a red logo, you may want to hire a red counter top, or yellow chairs to attract further attention. This certainly attracts more attention than the traditional black or grey furniture. There is no rule that the exhibition stand has to be bland in colour.

Display stands can accentuate the colours of your company. Buy bright coloured t-shirts with your company logo on for your staff to wear. This means your staff will be visible, and will even draw the crowds to your stand by simply wandering around the trade show.

2. Use Lighting for Impact
Consider hiring conference lighting for your exhibition stand. You can connect down lights to the roofing section of your exhibition stand to highlight posters, signs, or product displays along the walls of your exhibition booth. When designing your exhibition stand, consider where to place lights for the best effect.

Ten Reasons You Should Consider Exhibiting at a Trade Show

Posted on May 5th, 2009
Wondering if the investment in an exhibition stand at a relevant industry trade show is worth it? The answer is a resounding YES! Here are just ten benefits of exhibiting your company and products at a trade show.

1. Meet Customers in Your Target Market
Trade shows organisers market the trade show to specific groups of customers, which means that provided you choose the trade show that targets your own customer market, or one you want to get into, exhibiting at the trade will bring your company into contact with your target market.

2. Expand Your Customer Database
Every person you meet at a trade show is a potential customer. If you can attract these potential customers to your stand and collect their contact details, you can expand your customer database. You can send out appropriate marketing materials to these potential customers for years to come to expand your business.

3. Introduce a New Product
A trade show is the perfect place to launch a new product. Customers who are interested in the industry will be there to see the launch and you will attract a lot of attention with free marketing from the trade show. Introduce new and current customers to the latest innovation in your product range at the trade show and generate immediate sales and interest in your new product.

Planning for a Successful Trade Show

Posted on March 24th, 2009

Successful marketing at a trade show or exhibition stand does not just happen – it takes a lot of careful planning to hit the right note and attract new customers from the prospective crowds that wander past your stand.

1 – Decide on Your Objectives
Your first step in planning for success is to decide on your goals and objectives – what you want your business to achieve by holding the exhibition stand at the trade show.  You also need to decide on the strategy to achieve those goals and the measurements of success.

A trade show is not only about lead generation. You could aim to enhance brand recognition, product visibility, promote new or future products as well as existing products, gain insights about your competitors, make key industry contacts, and learn about industry trends.

2 – Create a Stand Design and Plan
Your exhibition stand is the focal point of your trade show marketing. Whether you use a modular exhibition stand, or a custom exhibition booth, you need to design your exhibition stand to enable staff operating the stand to meet your goals.

Draw a plan or map of the stand, including where lighting, banners, signs, graphics, display booths, exhibition furniture, and pop up displays will go. Plan for your promotional products and the space needed to collect those all important contact details of potential sales leads. A professional exhibition contractor can ensure your exhibition booth design meets your business needs.
